Emissions control technology from Marsulex to be used in China

Marsulex Environmental Technologies (MET) will provide flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems for 2,900 MW of electricity generation in the Peoples Republic of China.

The projects include installation of MET’s wet limestone process as well as the company’s ammonium sulfate FGD process.

The five plants are:

  • Yangzi Petrochemical plant, 200 MW;
  • Shaoguan Power Plant, 600 MW;
  • Shijiazhuang Luhua plant, 600 MW;
  • Tangzhai plant, 1,200 MW; and
  • Zibo Tianyuan, 300 MW.

All are designed to achieve at least 95 percent SO2 removal.
