Combined-cycle power plant purchased by Entergy unit

Entergy Mississippi Inc., a unit of Entergy (NYSE: ETR) said it plans to buy the 450 MW Hinds combined-cycle natural gas-fired power plant for $206 million from KGen Power Corp. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals.

The company also purchased the 620 MW Hot Spring combined-cycle power plant in Arkansas from KGen on July 12 for $253 million.
