A-Power names Zhang interim CFO

A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: APWR) Chief Financial Officer Kin Kwong Mak will end his extended service contract on July 15, 2011. The company named Michael Zhang as interim CFO while the company performs a search for a permanent replacement. Zhang was also elected as a director of A-Power on June 8.

Zhang joined A-Power in January 2010 as vice president for Strategic Planning, Internal Audit and Internal Control. Prior to joining A-Power, Zhang was executive director of Business Risk Services with Ernst & Young Advisory Limited in China from august 2007 through May 2009.

Zhang graduated from Northwest University with a Bachelor's Degree in Computational Mathematics. He received an MBA in Finance from Hong Kong Chinese University.
