Latin America has attractive regulatory framework

Endesa CEO Andrea Brentan has reportedly said Latin America offers an appealing regulatory framework for the generation and distribution of energy that provides incentives to ensure expansion and adequate service quality.
The businessman, speaking to BNamericas, said his company’s generation project pipeline in the region exceeds 12 GW.
Brentan said that of the total, 6.22 GW are in Chile (3.78 GW hydro, 1.49 GW thermo, 308 MW wind); 2.8 GW in Brazil (1.65 GW hydro, 850 MW thermo, 300 MW wind); 1.63 GW in Peru (1.24 GW hydro, 300 MW thermo, 98 MW wind); and 1.46 GW hydro in Colombia.
