RMT to design and build wind project

Wind Capital Group picked RMT Inc. to design and build the 201 MW Post Rock Wind Energy Facility in central Kansas. The Kansas Corporation Commission approved Wind Capital Group’s power purchase agreement with Westar Energy for the entire output from the project.

RMT will provide engineering, procurement and civil and electrical infrastructure construction to install the wind turbines. The civil and electrical infrastructure includes roads, crane paths and pads and construction of two meteorological towers. RMT is also responsible for mechanical turbine completion, tower erection and testing and inspections.

Construction is expected to begin in 2011 with the project due to come online in the second half of 2012.
