Repower picked to install 40 wind turbines in Quebec

Repower Systems AG (RPW), a unit of Suzlon Energy Ltd., will deliver, install and maintain 40 MM92 CCV model wind turbines at an 80 MW Quebec wind project being developed by EDF Energies Nouvelles Canada Inc.

The contract is the second part of an agreement that Repower signed with the unit of EDF Energies Nouvelles SA for as many as 954 MW in November 2009. Construction of the Saint-Robert-Bellarmin wind park is scheduled to begin in summer 2011.

Repower also signed a contract to supply 15 turbines to two wind projects in Ontario by Wind Works Power Corp., a developer of wind farms in the U.S., Germany and Canada.
