PPL Susquehanna names site VP

PPL Susquehanna named Russ Kearney as site vice president-Susquehanna effective June 6.

Kearney comes to PPL Susquehanna from the Clinton Power Station, a single-unit boiling water reactor in Clinton, Ill., where he had been site vice president since January 2008. He previously was plant manager at Clinton from 2007 to 2008 and was work management director at the Dresden nuclear power plant in Illinois from 2005 to 2007.

Kearney holds a Bachelor of Science in nuclear technology from Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y. He completed management programs at the University of Michigan and INPO's Senior Nuclear Plant Management course. He served in the U.S. Navy's nuclear power training program from 1976 to 1982.
