Larsen & Toubro snags gas plant order from PPN Power

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has received a 35bn rupees ($766m) order from PPN Power for setting up a 3 x 360 MW gas fired power plant at Village Pillaiperumalnallur in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu State, on an EPC basis.
According to India Infoline, the three new units will come up as an expansion project in the same location where PPN Power commissioned a 330.5 MW CCGT in 2001.  
L&T’s scope includes design, detailed engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the complete power plant on a turnkey basis. The plant will utilize gas and steam turbines manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan.
