Chile’s Energia Latina reveals growth plan

Energia Latina SA, a Chilean company with currently 300 MW of diesel-based installed capacity, has confirmed it is seeking to expand after establishing itself as a significant medium-size player in the local market.
 
The company plansto grow either through acquisitions or by establishing business link-ups with small and medium-size enterprises, NoticiasFinancieras reports.
 
“The objective is to become a key player in the energy sector and to be able to establish strategic alliances with small and medium-size energy generators in the renewable area,” Fernando del Sol, president of the firm, told the publication.
 
The company has already invested $151 million in its business model, the report said.
 
Energia Latina is headquartered in Santiago.
