Samsung Pattern buy wind projects

Pattern Energy Group LP and project partner Samsung Renewable Energy bought wind power projects to combine with the larger 270 MW South Kent Wind Farm in Ontario. The projects were purchased from Acciona and Boralex.

As part of the agreement with the province, the first phase will include 400 MW of wind energy and 100 MW of solar. The joint venture will also establish four wind and solar manufacturing facilities in Ontario.

Pattern and Samsung recently acquired land from the Fargo Wind Project from Suncor Energy and a wind project development from Northland Power.
