GE to supply combined-cycle system

GE has signed a multi-year agreement to provide maintenance services for the 750 MW Tuanku Ja’afar PD 2 combined-cycle power station in Malaysia.

The power plant features two GE Frame 9FA gas turbines is owned by Tenaga National Berhad (TNB), the largest electric utility company in Malaysia. The new $31 million agreement marks GE’s second multi-year maintenance program with TNB Repair and Maintenance Sdn Bhd (Remaco).

The contract will run until 2014.
