Dynegy names Harrison interim president CEO

Dynegy Inc. named E. Hunter Harrison as the company’s interim president and CEO, replacing current director and interim CEO and president David Biegler.

Harrison has been the company’s director since March and was backed by Seneca Capital. He will replace Biegler, who was serving as interim CEO and president after Bruce Williamson left during a shakeup that followed Icahn Enterprise’s failed $665 million takeover bid.

Harrison previously was president and CEO of the Canadian National Railway Co.
