Wartsila receives major power plant order from Turkey

Finnish gas engine maker Wartsila has received an order to supply seven 18V50SG natural gas fuelled engines with a combined output of 135 MW for a Turkish IPP.
The order has been placed by Odas Elektrik Uretim for its new plant at Urfa in southeastern Turkey. The plant is scheduled for completion in autumn 2011, and will supply power to the national grid.
