Minnesota Power ordered 35, 3 MW Siemens direct drive wind turbines for its Bison 2 wind farm in North Dakota.

Siemens will transport, build and commission the SWT-3.0-101 wind turbines as part of the agreement, along with a three-year maintenance agreement. Deliveries are expected to begin in August 2012, and the power plant is scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2012.
