Quebec hydro investment

The Canadian government is investing $6.9 million (US$7.06 million) over ten years in two hydroelectric dams in Quebec through the ecoENERGY for Renewable Power program.

Both hydro projects, the Pont-Arnaud and Chute-Garneau, have been refurbished and are expected to be commissioned in March 2011. They have a combined capacity of 13 MW and the generated power will be sold to Hydro Quebec.
