Quanta names CEO

Quanta Services, Inc. announced that chairman and CEO John R. Colson will be named as executive chairman of the board on May 19, 2011. Current president and COO James F. O'Neil III will succeed Colson as CEO at that time and will continue to hold the position of president.

Colson, one of the founders of Quanta, will be working with O'Neil and the executive team on strategic acquisitions and investments, international expansion and the long-term direction of the company in his new role.

O'Neil has served as Quanta's president and COO since October 2008 and was previously the senior vice president of operations integration and audit and vice president of operations integration.
