A 19 MW solar photovoltaic power plant in Colorado has been completed and commissioned.
The Greater Sandhill solar power plant, owned by Xcel Energy and SunPower Corp., began generating power in December 2010 after only nine months of construction.
The plant uses SunPower Tracker systems, which tilt toward the sun as it moves across the sky.
MetLife and John Hancock Financial Services financed the third-party ownership of the plant.
