First Solar Inc. plans to invest $300 million to build a 250 MW manufacturing center in Arizona.

The plant will make thin-film photovoltaic modules. Construction is expected to begin in 2Q 2011 and is expected to be complete in 2012. Module shipments are expected to begin in 3Q 2012.
