Hawaii PV PPA

SunPowerCorp. signed a 20-year power purchase agreement to sell the output from a 5 MW solar photovoltaic project to Hawaiian Electric Co. The plant would be located in west Oahu and will use SunPower solar panels on a tracker system.

The agreement is awaiting approval from the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission. Upon receipt of the approval, SunPower expects to begin construction and complete the project in 2011.
