Consumers Energy named Dennis Dobbs vice president of generation engineering and services effective April 16.

Dobbs will be responsible for the engineering support for the company’s generation fleet, renewable and fossil fuel developments and environmental compliance strategy. Dobbs served as the general manager at the 2,100 MW Karn/Weadock Generating Complex since 2008 and first joined Consumers in 1999.

Guy Packard will replace Dobbs as the manager for the Karn/Weadock plant. He previously worked as the manager for the company’s 1,450 MW Campbell Generating Complex.

Tom Gesinski, manager for Consumers’ Cobb plant, will manage both the Cobb and Campbell sites. The Cobb plant can generate up to 320 MW
