Alstom BrightSource investment

Alstom has invested $75 million in BrightSource Energy Inc. in addition to an initial investment of $55 million it made in May 2010.

Alstom and BrightSource signed a partnership agreement in August 2010 to provide fully integrated solar thermal power plants in several areas including Africa and the Mediterranean ring.

In October 2010, BrightSource Energy began construction of its 392 MW Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System in California.
