Entergy Nuclear execs

Randy Douet, current site vice president at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Mississippi, will move to Entergy Nuclear’s headquarters in Jackson, Miss. to lead Entergy’s nuclear business development function.

Douet will replace Kenneth Hughey, a nuclear advocate with three decades of experience at Entergy. Hughey has led Entergy through plant acquisitions and played a leading role in planning for the possible construction of new advanced light water reactors.

Mike Perito, vice president at River Bend Station in Louisiana will become Grand Gulf’s vice president. Eric Olson, general manager at River Bend, is now vice president at the plant. An acting general manager will be named at a later date to fill Olson’s spot.

Douet became vice president of Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in March 2008. Previously, he worked with the Tennessee Valley Authority. He also worked at several Entergy Nuclear plants, including Arkansas Nuclear One, River Bend and Waterford 3.

Perito came to River Bend Station in January 2008. He previously worked at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, a fossil fuel plant, and at the Quad Cities and Palo Verde nuclear stations.

Olson joined River Bend Station in 2007 as general manager of plant operations from Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, where he started work in 1988.
