White Construction Inc. was selected by E.ON Climate & Renewables North America to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the Settlers Trail Wind Farm in Iroquois County, Ill.

White will  erect the wind turbines, construct all access roads and modify existing public roads, design and build all foundations and collection systems. The Settlers Trail wind farm will consist of 94 GE 1.6 XLE turbines, 1.6ME each, bringing 150 MWs of energy  to this region. Work was scheduled to start in November 2010 and will be completed in October 2011.

This wind farm will be White Construction’s eighth wind project in the state of Illinois and their second project with E.ON Climate and Renewables.
