Shaw payment

The Shaw Group Inc. says it will receive a damage payment of about $27 million from Taiwan Power Co. due to increased costs related to Taiwan Power's Lungmen Nuclear Power Project.

Shaw, the Baton Rouge-based engineering, technology and construction company, says it received formal notice of the ruling on Jan.5, 2011 from the Taiwan Supreme Court, which also dismissed Taiwan Power's counterclaims against Shaw.

Shaw says an additional appeal by Taiwan Power to the Taiwan Supreme Court is possible.
