NAES Corp. is providing operations and maintenance services for the Plum Point Energy Station, a 665 MW pulverized coal plant near Osceola, Ark. Plum Point achieved commercial operations on Sept. 1, 2010.

The plant, 50 miles north of Memphis, contains an IHI boiler, a Toshiba steam turbine and an Alstom emissions control system (selective catalytic reduction, carbon injection, spray dry scrubber and baghouse). Coal for the plant is delivered by rail from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.

NAES is owned by Itocuh International Inc., the U.S. affiliate of Itochu Corp.
