Emerson acquired Pittsburgh-based Turbine Control Service Associates Inc., a provider of generator excitation control systems for power plants. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 1993, Turbine Control Service Associates’ generator excitation systems control a wide range of generators driven by large and small steam turbines, combustion turbines and hydroelectric turbines. The company has offices in Pittsburgh and San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Emerson is a leading automation and control system supplier for the global power generation industry.
