E.ON commissions 430 MW CCGT plant in Slovakia

E.ON has commenced operations at the 430 MW combined-cycle gas fired power plant in Malzenice in Slovakia.
The 58 per cent efficient plant has a gross electricity output of 430 MW and will generate more than 3bn kWh annually. This amount of electricity is equivalent to the average consumption of more than 900 000 households.
In a statement, E.ON said it had created 35 permanent jobs in Malzenice at the new power station and has given various contracts to companies in the region. The power station near the Slovakian capital Bratislava was completed on schedule in 26 months.
