Acciona Energy started building the 132 MW Dempsey Ridge Wind Farm in Oklahoma. The wind farm will take around a year to build.

Dempsey Ridge will be Acciona's sixth wind farm in the United States and third in Oklahoma. The project is 15 miles west of the company's 123 MW Red Hills Wind Farm that entered service in June 2009.

Dempsey Ridge will consist of 66 2.0 MW wind turbines located over 10,888 acres. Acciona selected M.A. Mortensen to lead project construction.
