Andrey Shishkin, vice-president of PJSC Rosneft, was appointed president and chairman of the management board of PJSOC Bashneft. Shishkin, who was Russia’s deputy minister of energy during 2010-12, will serve a 5-year term.
Shishkin at Rosneft was appointed vice-president in July 2012; vice-president for energy, health, safety, and environment in March 2013; vice-president for energy and localization in August 2014; and vice-president for energy, localization, and innovation last April. Since April 2015, he has been serving on Rosneft’s management board.
From 2005 through 2010, he was the general director of OJSC Ural Energy Management Co., OJSC TGC-10, and OJSC Tyumen Power Sales Co. From 2008 through 2009, he held the position of first vice-president of OJSC Integrated Energy Systems (IES Holding).
Rosneft recently acquired the Russian government’s controlling interest in Bashneft, paying the equivalent of $5.23 billion for 50.0755% of the firm’s charter capital (OGJ Online, Oct. 14, 2016).
