Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Houston, has appointed Darrell Hollek as executive vice-president, operations, and Ernie Leyendecker as executive vice-president, international and deepwater exploration.

Bob Daniels, former executive vice-president, international and deepwater exploration, and Jim Kleckner, former executive vice-president, international and deepwater operations, are retiring. Daniels will continue as an executive vice-president and member of the company's executive committee until his retirement later this year.

Hollek was executive vice-president, US onshore exploration and production, beginning last year (OGJ Online, Apr. 29, 2015). In his new role, he will oversee the company’s US onshore exploration, production, and midstream activities, along with its Gulf of Mexico and international operations.

He joined Anadarko in 1980 as a field engineer, and has since held positions overseeing global deepwater drilling, international, Gulf of Mexico, and US onshore exploration and production, as well as environmental, health, safety, and regulatory matters.

Hollek also will remain a director of Western Gas Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of Anadarko, and Western Gas Equity Holdings LLC, the general partner of Western Gas Equity Partners LP, a publicly traded midstream limited partnership.

Leyendecker, previously senior vice-president, international exploration, joined the company in 2002 and now has more than 30 years of experience. He has held positions including general manager for worldwide exploration engineering, planning, and international negotiations; vice-president of corporate planning; and senior vice-president, Gulf of Mexico exploration.
