Sauquet to head new Total branch

Philippe Sauquet has been named president of Total SA’s new gas, renewables, and power branch in a reorganization triggering other executive-level changes (OGJ Online, Apr. 19, 2016).

Sauquet, a Total employee since 1990, recently has been president, refining and chemicals.

Succeeding Sauquet as president, refining and chemicals, is Bernard Pinatel, who rejoins Total from the executive committee of Bostik, an adhesive manufacturer partly owned by Total until its acquisition by Arkema in February 2015. Pinatel originally joined Total in 1991 and became chairman and chief executive officer of Bostik and a member of the group management committee and of the refining and chemicals management committee.

Namita Shah was appointed executive vice-president, people and social responsibility, and among other responsibilities will oversee the new Total Global Services. Shah joined Total in 2002 as a legal counsel and most recently was senior vice-president, corporate affairs, exploration and production.

Jean-Jacques Guilbaud was named senior advisor to the chairman and chief executive officer. He has been chief administrative officer.
