Rawson, Beach bring small Cooper basin gas field on stream

Rawson Resources Ltd., Sydney, has reported that Udacha natural gas field in South Australia’s Cooper basin retention lease PRL 26 has been brought on stream.

Production is through one well tied into the nearby Middleton production facility. Initial production is about 1 MMcfd and is expected to rise to 1.5 MMcfd once compression is available at Middleton by mid-2017.

The Udacha project provides Rawson with its first production revenues (OGJ Online, Apr. 5, 2011).

The field is operated by Beach Energy Ltd., Adelaide. Rawson has a 10% interest.
