Kris Energy names Macdonald interim chief executive officer

Jeffery S. Macdonald is assuming the role of interim chief executive officer of Kris Energy Ltd. He succeeds Keith Cameron, who is retiring.

Macdonald, a nonexecutive independent director of the company since 2009, will maintain the role of chief executive officer until a successor has been named. Cameron, a founding director of the company, will continue as an advisor to Macdonald, who will become an executive director.

Macdonald previously was a managing director with private equity firm First Reserve Corp., responsible for investment origination, structuring, execution, monitoring, and exit strategy, with particular emphasis on oil and gas reserves.

Prior to joining First Reserve, Macdonald was a founder and chief executive officer of Caledonia Oil & Gas Ltd., a UK independent exploration and production firm, and before Caledonia, he was a founding member and managing director of Highland Energy Ltd.
