Stokes & Spiehler makes managerial appointments

Blair LeBlanc, Russ Bellard, Donnie Busscher, and Tony Shell have each been named to new management roles by petroleum engineering and consulting firm Stokes & Spiehler.

LeBlanc has been named vice-president, offshore operations, where he will focus on enhancing offshore operations by working with the firm’s team to customize engineering solutions.

He previously worked with Unocal, Sperry Drilling Services, Transocean and Ocean Energy. As a drilling, completion, and workover engineer for Stokes & Spiehler since 2003, he has been supervising and guiding engineering and field efforts.

Bellard has been named vice-president, onshore operations, where he will oversee onshore and inland water efforts across all active oil and gas regions, and will work with the engineering team to evaluate each project’s scope and landscape.

He is experienced in supervising drilling, completion, and workover field operations on wells, along with detailed project design, procedure writing, cost estimate preparation, and regulatory compliance. Bellard worked with Halliburton prior to joining Stokes & Spiehler in 2001.

Busscher has been named engineering manager, where he will oversee daily engineering operations including assigning team members with the proper skill set for each project and managing deadline demands. Before joining Stokes & Spiehler, he worked as an in-house engineer and wellsite consultant for land and offshore operations.

Shell, a senior account manager in Houston with more than 20 years of oil and gas experience, has been named vice-president, sales and marketing. As Stokes & Spiehler moves into new oil and gas markets, he will guide efforts to market more than 250 consultants specializing in drilling, completions, workover, and concentric operations.
