Statoil extends drilling services contracts at 17 installations

Statoil ASA extended by 2 years the drilling services contracts it has with three contractors at 17 fixed installations on the Norwegian continental shelf (OGJ Online, Feb. 3, 2016).

In 2012, Statoil awarded 4-year contracts to Archer, KCA Deutag, and Odfjell Drilling. Those contracts had options for 2-year extensions. The extensions will expire Oct. 1, 2018. Total contract value for the upcoming 2-year period is 5 billion kroner.

Work includes drilling and well services, maintenance, and modifications.
