Chariot Oil & Gas farms out offshore Moroccan acreage to Eni

Italy’s Eni SPA will enter an agreement to operate a 10,780-sq km area in Morocco’s Rabat Deep Offshore exploration permits I-VI. The company seeks to expand its Atlantic Margin presence in North Africa.

The agreement was signed with Chariot Oil & Gas Ltd., which completed a 3D seismic acquisition on its Rabat Deep license in March 2014 (OGJ Online, May 4, 2015). At the completion of the agreement the license will include Eni as operator with 40% working interest, Woodside Petroleum Ltd. 25%, Chariot 10%, and Morocco’s state-owned Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines 25%.
