West Qurna-2 oil field production reaches 450,000 b/d

PJSC Lukoil said Iraq’s prime minister had visited West Qurna-2 oil field, which is now producing 450,000 b/d (OGJ Online, Sept. 9, 2014).

The company said Haider Al-Abadi spent time at key sites, including the central processing facility and gas turbine power plant.

West Qurna-2 is 65 km from the southern Iraqi port of Basra. Lukoil has 75%.
