BP lets EPC contract to Wood Group for UKCS work

BP PLC has let a 5-year, $750-million contract to Wood Group PSN for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services on six UK continental shelf (UKCS) offshore upstream assets and the Forties pipeline system (FPS) onshore midstream facilities in Grangemouth.

The contract, effective January 2015, includes an option for two 1-year extensions, and is Wood Group’s first for the FPS onshore facilities, adding to the company’s current contract supporting BP’s Sullom Voe Terminal in Shetland.

Wood Group already provides EPC services for six BP offshore assets—Clair, Magnus, ETAP, Andrew, Bruce, and its Glen Lyon FPSO, the latter of which is currently under construction and due to come online in 2016.
