Sasol lets contract for Mozambique gas processing plant

Sasol Petroleum International, the upstream unit of Sasol Ltd., has let a services-related contract to a subsidiary of Foster Wheeler’s global engineering and construction group for an electrical expansion project at Sasol’s gas processing plant in Temane, Mozambique.

Foster Wheeler will deliver engineering, procurement, and construction management services for the addition of a gas turbine-driven electric generator and a gas superheater at the plant, Foster Wheeler said.

Designed to expand the electric generation capacity of the Temane central processing plant, the project is scheduled to be completed during first-quarter 2016, Foster Wheeler said.

A value of the contract was not disclosed.

Foster Wheeler previously served as designer and builder for the original Temane plant (OGJ Online, Sept. 10, 2013).
