Lucas Energy appoints CEO, director

Houston independent Lucas Energy Inc. has appointed Anthony C. Schnur as chief executive officer. Schnur previously served as the company’s chief financial officer, treasurer, and secretary. Schnur has served as chief financial officer and chief executive officer of several companies including his last position as chief financial officer of Chroma Oil & Gas LP.

William A. Sawyer has resigned as chief executive officer and director. Sawyer was a cofounder of Lucas Energy, serving as vice-president, operations, from April 2005 to January 2009, when he was promoted to chief executive officer and president.

The board has appointed Ken Daraie to director of the company. Daraie has significant experience in the oil and gas industry and has served as the vice-president of operations of Wold Oil Properties Inc. where he assists with business development, engineering, and operations management since April 2011.

Lucas Energy currently is active in the Austin Chalk, Eagle Ford, Eaglebine, and Buda trends.
