INEOS taps KBR for Alvin ethylene furnace

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA has let a contract to KBR for a new ethylene furnace at its 3.86 billion lb/year ethylene plant at Alvin, Tex.

The furnace will add 465 million lb/year of furnace production capacity.

KBR will handle technology licensing, engineering, procurement, supply of equipment and materials, and construction.
