Kosmos prices secondary public offering of common shares

Kosmos Energy Ltd. (NYSE: KOS) has priced its previously announced underwritten public offering of 30,000,000 of its common shares, all of which were offered by funds affiliated with Warburg Pincus LLC and The Blackstone Group LP, respectively. The price to the public was $6.65 per share. The offering is expected to close on January 18, 2017, subject to customary closing conditions. Kosmos will not receive any of the proceeds from the sale of the common shares. Barclays is acting as the underwriter of the offering.

Kosmos is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company focused on frontier and emerging areas along the Atlantic Margin. Assets include existing production and development projects offshore Ghana, large discoveries offshore Mauritania and Senegal, as well as exploration licenses with hydrocarbon potential offshore Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, Suriname, Morocco and Western Sahara.
