Gottlieb joins energy and environmental practice at Sutherland

Jonathan W. Gottlieb has joined the Energy, Environmental and Commodities Practice Group as a partner in the Washi Jonathan W. Gottlieb ngton DC office of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP. 

With more than 25 years of experience—in federal government, private practice and as corporate counsel for a large international power developer—Gottlieb advises energy and utility clients in the development, construction, financing, acquisition, divestiture and operation of energy generation, transmission, production and processing facilities across the United States and in more than 17 countries.

He represents a wide array of energy companies, including electric and natural gas utilities, independent power producers and developers, utility subsidiaries, and midstream oil and gas companies on complex transactional and regulatory matters involving natural gas and petroleum products pipelines, electric power generation and transmission, and energy project development.
