Energy Hunter Resources appoints two new board members

Energy Hunter Resources Inc., an oil-focused energy company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, has appointed two new independent board of director members, effective immediately.  

Dr. Rajiv I. Modi, a 30-year veteran in the pharmaceutical industry, assumed leadership at Cadila Pharmaceuticals in 1995. Dr. Modi presently serves as chairman and managing director at Cadila Pharmaceuticals and holds a PhD in Biological Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He obtained his MSc in Biochemical Engineering from University College, London and BTech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, India.

Joe L. McClaugherty is a senior partner of McClaugherty & Silver PC. McClaugherty has practiced law for 40 years. Prior to founding McClaugherty & Silver PC in 1992, he was the managing partner of the Santa Fe office of Kemp, Smith, Duncan & Hammond. He received a BBA with Honors from the University of Texas and a JD with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law. McClaugherty previously served as a director of Magnum Hunter Resources Corp. from 2006 through 2016 where he also served as Lead Director during the last three years of his tenure.

Since its formation earlier this year, Energy Hunter Resources has completed its first private placement and acquired lease acreage blocks in the Eagle Ford. The company plans to pursue a public listing later in the year and is currently in negotiations for acquisitions in the Permian Basin.
