Former Devon analysts form oil and gas acquisition company

Five former Devon Energy senior analysts have formed a new, privately-held start-up upstream oil and gas acquisition company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Senex Energy Partners LLC’s founders include John F. Templin II, PhD, president and CEO; A. Paul Baclawski CPG, vice president and COO; John H. Graham Jr., PE, vice president of engineering; Steve T. Whitaker, vice president of exploration; and Dean R. Richmond, vice president of geosciences. Initially, the company will employ 18 individuals.

Most recently, each senior analyst was an integral member of Devon's corporate new ventures and acquisitions, and exploration teams.

The Senex team plans to acquire oil and gas assets in proven producing fields, and in the "sweet spots" of newly emerging trends. The company is seeking start-up venture capital.
