TGS appoints Johansen as new CEO

TGS has appointed Kristian Johansen as the company’s new CEO, effective March 11. He will succeed Robert Hobbs, who, after eight years with TGS, including nearly seven years as CEO, has decided to retire.

Johansen joined TGS in 2010 as CFO and was appointed COO in February 2015. Prior to joining TGS, he was the executive vice president and CFO of EDB Business Partner (now Evry) in Oslo, Norway. Johansen also has experience in the construction, banking, and oil industries. He earned his undergraduate and master's degrees in business administration from the University of New Mexico.

In addition to extensive global geophysical and geological data libraries that include multi-client seismic data, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, production data, and directional surveys, TGS also offers advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products, and data integration solutions.
