Riley Exploration Group has promoted Corey Riley to the role of president. The company has also hired David LaLonde as its new CFO, and has appointed Amy Becker as vice president, Land.
Riley co-founded the predecessor company to Riley Exploration Group almost 10 years ago, and has served as Riley Exploration’s CFO since 2012. In his new role, Riley is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company while working with the CEO and management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Riley holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Oklahoma Christian University.
LaLonde has joined Riley Exploration as its CFO. In his new role, LaLonde is responsible for the controllership, treasury, and economic strategy of the company. Immediately prior to joining Riley Exploration, LaLonde was a partner and director at Petro Capital Securities, an energy-focused investment bank that specializes in corporate finance, and merger and acquisition (M&A) engagements for upstream clients. Earlier in his career, LaLonde worked for The Sterling Group, a private equity firm, and Bear, Stearns & Co.’s investment banking group. A graduate of Texas A&M University with degrees in accounting and finance, LaLonde also holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Becker, prior to this new appointment, was formerly a lease analyst/land administration with Riley Exploration since 2013. In her new role as vice president of Land, she will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all company landmen, as well as maintaining records, contracts, and reports for Riley Exploration’s oil and gas properties. Becker holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
