OPEC and non-OPEC producers to meet in Doha on April 17

OPEC and non-OPEC producers will hold a meeting in Dohar, Qatar, on April 17, according to Reuters. The meeting follows another meeting held last month in Doha, in which oil-producing countries Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Venezuela proposed an accord to freeze oil output at January 2016 levels and called on other producers to support the initiative.

Reuters noted that, to date, around 15 OPEC and non-OPEC producers, accounting for 73% of global oil output, are leaning toward supporting this initiative.
