C&J Energy appoints McMullen as CEO

C&J Energy Services Ltd. has appointed CFO Randy McMullen as the company’s new CEO, succeeding company founder Josh Comstock who died on Friday. McMullen will also continue in his role as CFO.

Comstock, 46, was also chairman of the board. Following Comstock's passing, C&J Energy says that it will now separate the roles of chairman and CEO.

The cause of Comstock’s death has not yet been determined, according to forensics officials in Harris County, Texas.
