Rowan nominates Moore as new director

Rowan Companies plc (NYSE: RDC) has nominated Jack B. Moore to stand for election to the company’s board of directors at the annual general meeting of shareholders.

Moore recently retired as CEO from Cameron International Corp. in October 2015, after serving in that role since 2008 and as chairman of the board since 2011. He also serves on the board of directors of KBR Inc. and on the board of the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association, the National Ocean Industries Association, and the American Petroleum Institute. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston and attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Rowan is a global provider of contract drilling services with a fleet of 31 mobile offshore drilling units, composed of 27 self-elevating jack-up rigs and four ultra-deepwater drillships.
